The Town of Smithville is accepting applications for the position of Dog Warden, part-time.
The person in this position will enforce the Dog Control Local Law # 5 (2021) as recently passed in the Town of Smithville and will also be responsible for updating the Town Board through monthly reports on the disposition or problems faced with dogs in the Town. This is a Civil Service non-competitive position and requires a Civil Service application be filled out and returned to the Town Clerk.

The Smithville Town Clerk's office is looking for a Clerk, part-time to work in the Town Clerk's office 4-6 hours a week starting January 2022 with the potential for moving into the Deputy or Town Clerk position by January 2023. The candidate will be required to have residency in the Town of Smithville, must have good organizational, verbal, writing and computational skills and be available to work during the daytime hours. This is a Civil Service position; candidate will be subject to approval by the Chenango County personnel office and appointment by the Smithville Town Board.
